Asphalt Driveway Repair – fix up those cracks before they fix you

asphaltdrivewayrepair2

As everyone knows, repairing asphalt can get real expensive, real fast. It’s not just the machinery that’s needed, but also the materials, labor, time, sweat, bacon sandwiches and the rest. But now we’ve just spotted a solution which actually looks like it might help in an emergency. No, it won’t give you a perfect finish, but hey, at least it should stop the rain for a bit?

The Asphalt Driveway Repair Kit features a ‘heavy duty, asphalt saturated polypropylene fabric‘ (actually you had us at heavy duty) which you roll out just like some sort of vinyl flooring. It’s designed for the larger cracks and blemishes which typical filler might not cope with.

We guess the main thing is to try and lay it when the weather is not too cold, so it adheres properly to the existing surface, after which traffic weight should help keep it secured. Anyhoo, the relatively low price at just $12.99 a roll (6 inches by 9 foot) makes it worth a try, right?

  • Don’t the let authorities in the city find out about this!! They’ll use this “fix” yet still charge the people the usual amount.

    • Oy, too true. At least it will be better than the duct tape they use at the moment, though. :)
