X15 Personal Flamethrower – so really, am I hot or not?

OK look, there’s crazy, and then there’s three bats out of the belfry nutz. How else to explain why someone would want to a) buy or even b) sell a product which has no other purpose than to incinerate nearby objects in the fastest possible time? From a position of safety.

This X15 Personal Flamethrower clearly elevates the idea of a mobile barbeque to a new art form, even if the chargrilled remains of anything in its path is likely to be less than appetizing. The thing contains three interchangeable tips to adjust range and efficiency – we’re thinking crispy, toasty and char – plus a refillable C02 tank.

The tank holds just over 3 gallons of your choice of gasoline/diesel oil mix, and should give a max range of about 50ft. More than enough for medium rare, over easy. You also get a nice handy trigger ignition to ensure finger tip control of your combustible capers. The whole ready to run kit can be yours for a trifling $1599.00. Fuel extra. Oh, and probably not aircraft carry-on safe, ‘K?

  • I guess none of you city dwellers are even aware that these are used by farmers and ranchers to burn weeds along roadways, and ignite controlled backfires. They are a quite common tool.

    • There, now you’ve totally shown up our urban ignorance. :)

    • Actually, I should have added “in America” – my international ignorance is showing!

    • Heh Different cultures and all that… :)

  • Conservation department here, along with the brush firefighters use these to build fire breaks by back burning. See em all the time during fire “season”.

    • Thanks, another worthy use.
