Mini Portable Hand Held Air Conditioner – bring some climate control outside

Mini Portable Hand Held Air Conditioner

It’s really hot outside and it’s not going to get any cooler anytime soon. Unfortunately sometimes you’re going to have to leave the air conditioned bubble of the home or office and face the harsh, blistering elements where the most you can hope for is a breeze. The Mini Portable Hand Held Air Conditioner is a personal travel size air conditioner for those trips into nature.

Most people are familiar with hand held fans. This small box takes it to the next level and houses a system for giving you a sort of air conditioner. It’s not a full on climate controlled masterpiece, you can’t set it for 70 degrees and enjoy life. What actually happens is that you insert a sponge soaked in cold water and the air that moves over it is cooled. Once the coolness of the sponge has run out, you can just use this as a normal handheld fan.

The device is rechargeable via USB and will run for two hours of continuous use on a full charge. This isn’t a great choice for a day you have to spend completely outside in the sun but if you’re going for a short walk or picnic, this is a handy option. The Mini Portable Hand held Air Conditioner is $13.40.

They also have a mini-heater (200 W) in this housing format, I really love it to use as a desk heater for near keyboard/mouse.
