Pluggy Lock – keep your phone attached to you, literally

pluggy lock insert

Have you ever wanted to hang your smartphone around your neck like some sort of techy chain? Or just so it was readily available? The Pluggy Lock is an attachment that lets you live out your fashion (or accessibility) dreams by giving you an anchor where your phone jack used to be.

Pluggy Lock is an attachment that screws into the 3.5mm port on your smartphone. It slides in and then you just give it a twist to secure it. After that, you can attach it to your lanyard or carabiner. The Pluggy is safe to use for up to 7 lbs which means it is also safe to use with tablets.

The most obvious use is to hang it around your neck (for some reason) but this actually may help keep your phone secure. After all, you’ll be able to physically attach it to your person. The downside is that you’ll lose your headphone jack so if you want to listen to music then you’ll have to invest in a set of Bluetooth headphones. Pluggy Lock starts at $9 and comes in a variety of colors.
