Star Wars Battle Pod – the ultimate game machine

There are times when only a fully immersive gaming experience will do, and that’s the time you turn to a full blown arcade machine. Arcades give you options your games console can’t match, which is why this new Star Wars Battle Pod is so extremely cool.

The machine comes with a full 180 degree wrap around screen, so you’re right in the middle of the action, and being Star Wars there’s lots and lots of action of course. Not only that, there’s force feedback in the controllers, low-frequency seat vibration so you feel every jolt and bump as you travel and fly, and air blasts to simulate acceleration.

The unit also features 5.1 surround sound, which should keep you feeling the force as you blast your war around the galaxy in gay abandon. There are four stage games on offer, including the famous jaunt to destroy the Death Star, fighting nasty Storm Troopers on Endor and more.

We’re thinking this is probably the nearest you’ll get to being a fully paid up member of the Rebel Alliance without time travel (yeah OK, cinematic time travel) but you’re going to need to hustle a bit if you’re to come up with the £25,995 the machine costs. Good news though. Delivery is free. Oh and you can double the price for the Darth Vader Edition. Sheesh!
