Fount – identify fonts all over the web [FREEWARE]

Fount in use

People use all kinds of fun fonts on the internet. There are thousands of fonts out there so trying to dig through them on your own can be a bit tricky. Fount is an add-on for your web browser that gives you information on fonts easily.

This is a fun tool for people who are into design or people who just really like fonts. I mean, fonts are cool. The add-on is really simple to install. You just have to drag the indicated button to your bookmarks bar. Once that’s done, just go to a webpage and click the Fount button. Your curser will change to a plus sign and when you click on the font, it will give you a little pop up with information about it.

It’s really fun to play with but there are some issues with it. It doesn’t work on every page and despite what the instructions say, you have to refresh the page to turn it off. It also does not read hyperlinks or images. Still, it’s a neat little freebie.
