Slashpipe – power up your six-pack with some water

slashpipe

We’re a little surprised that someone hasn’t come up with this idea before, but now it’s here – courtesy of the clever Germans. The Slashpipe (English translation) is a water filled tube which you use as an exercise accessory. The idea is the liquid is constantly fighting the body in terms of balance and equilibrium, which therefore delivers a more potent workout. When you think about all that stuff sloshing around as you wave your arms, it’s easy to see what they mean.

Apparently the moving water also stops your muscles from getting used to repetitive workout regimes, which adds to the effect. All this improves on standard barbells, especially for the abdominal and back muscles. Using water to fill up your six-pack. Sounds about right.

The product is available in a Mini size for beginners and a Fit model for complete masochists. The latter measures 150cm x 7cm and weighs 3.5kg. Priced at €159.95.
