Jukebox derby.

TVXjukebox

The TVX Jukebox. Is this the 200GB media center for the masses? Mmm…possibly. £399.00 ($645.18).

Simply plug it into your computer (USB) and it will appear like any external drive, then just transfer images, music and movies onto it. It automatically converts your movies to DivX format, taking an average 6 Gig movie down to around a mere 75 Megs, but maintaining excellent quality. Then you just plug it into your TV and it will play it all. It’s so blisteringly simple to operate you’ll be amazed, even our ‘and just how do I work the video again’ technophobes managed to zip about the intuitive menu system, and were playing music and movies in no time.

  • OK, I have this box, and yes it rocks. But it does NOT automatically convert video to Divx format!!! Where did they come up with that?!?

Secretly, I’m hoping I missed something and it can actually do this, but it is not an advertised feature and nothing is listed in the firmware features list regarding this.

  • This included software can do this… not that anyone bothers to use that. I just leave things as they are. Unless its a weird (and rare) incompatible AVI, then I convert it using Auto Gordian Knot. But to their defense, their TVIX software is very easy to use and does automate the conversion steps.

  • Thanks Rick.
