Gridi – see the music as you make it

Gridi in use

When it comes to learning and experiencing things, one size doesn’t exactly fit all. Some people can hear music and understand how it all works together but other people just don’t have the kind of brain that can visualize sound. The Gridi is a table that helps you “see” music.

It’s a sort of light table with indentions where you can place different colored balls in order to create and alter beats. Each sphere you place creates a unique sound. Put them all together and you have a song. No prior experience in musical instruments needed to create.

It’s great for interaction and collaboration. Each different color ball is a separate instrument that can be added or removed easily. It is designed to make music effortlessly and give people a different way to grasp the concepts around creating music in a different way. The Gridi isn’t for sale but you can check out this cool video of the process in action.
