Well, What3Words is a site that takes a different approach to location. Instead of numbers and streets, it assigned areas three-word names.

This system cuts the world up into 3mx3m squares and assigns each one with a unique set of three words. These words are seemingly random and are vastly different from their neighbors which is actually a good thing. If you are even a little bit off, the map will show you a drastically different place, unlike conventional addressing which will just show you the wrong house on the same street.
