Grobo – the food growing option for apartment dwellers

Grobo-Living-Room-02

Growing your own food is really taking off as a movement and lot of people are getting into it, even those that live in urban environments, with container and community gardens. Not everyone has a green thumb though and some people who want to grow their own food need a little help. The Grobo is the indoor grower that will help you grow food, even if your condo gets no sunlight.

You do have to get your hands a little dirty and plant your own seeds. After that, you just use the app to tell the system what you’ve planted and from there, it will handle the rest until it’s time to harvest. Grobo monitors and waters plants allowing them to grow in optimal conditions, right inside your home.

The system also allows you to keep connected with your plants so that you always know what’s going on with them. Of course, they’re plants so it’s not like they’ll be having and drastic changes from day to day. Grobo is still being funded but is a pretty neat idea. You can preorder it for $899.
