Silver Balloon Solar Cooker – the balloon you can cook in

Silver Balloon Solar Cooker inflated

Outdoor ovens are really useful for cooking food and boiling water but they can be a bit heavy and no good for emergency bags. The Silver Balloon Solar Cooker is a lightweight alternative that can be stored until it’s needed.

This is an oven balloon basically made from Mylar. It harnesses the power of the sun, to give you the ability to cook food or boil water so that it’s safe. The oven gets up to 350 degrees and doesn’t need any extra fuel, it works completely on sunlight.

This comes with the cooker itself and a stainless steel pan. There are also instructions on how to use it safely and properly. If you like to cook outside often, then you probably don’t need something like this but if you want something for emergencies (possibly of the apocalyptic nature) or just want to try something different, there’s this oven balloon, the least likely cooking option but, apparently, it works. The Silver Balloon Solar Cooker is $99.95.
