NASA Software – check out the apps, code, and tools NASA uses to get and stay in space

NASA found us a few new planets this past month but they’re not done giving us cool gifts. If you love the space dedicated agency, check out all this free software they just released to the public and get a look at what technology they’re using to get us a view from space.

This catalogue includes code libraries, apps, and other assorted tools used by the agency and they can be downloaded and used by you too! For what, exactly, I’m not sure but get creative, the world is your oyster. These are mostly to help get crafts into space and keep them running while up there but there are other uses.

If you’re curious, you can browse the online catalogue. Pay attention to their permissions though! They’re all free but they’re not all “free”. Some can only be used in the US, some can be altered freely while others cannot. If you’re curious, check out the website for more info.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
