Roadie – if you’re already going, why not deliver a few packages on the way

People are always going somewhere. Life is really busy. So why are you paying to ship things when you can have it hitch a ride with someone already going there? That’s what the theory of Roadie is, the app that matches deliveries with drivers.

This is an option to send things, sort of like a courier service but anyone can join. You can ship works of art, furniture or even pets. You just use the app to set up the Gig (which is what jobs are called, how trendy) and you’re matched with a driver who was going there anyway.

That’s why these options are so cheap. I looked at what it cost to send something across country which would typically be hundreds of dollars and it was $600 cheaper (it was art, if you were wondering). Because the drivers are already going that way, the money they make on your package is a bonus. It’s a cool concept and it could potentially help out a lot of people.
