Cora Ball – catch microfibers before they reach the ocean

We talk a lot about plastics that end up in the world’s oceans and they’re a major issue but you know what else is a problem? Microfibers from our clothing and they’re getting into everything every time we do a load of laundry. The Cora Ball is an easy wall to catch them before they become a problem.

Microfibers are way too small to be caught in most filters which means after we wash our laundry, these tiny fibers are entering the water supply and moving on from there to the food chain. We are part of that chain. We are eating our own microfibers. Yuck.

By tossing the Cora Ball into the wash, it switches around with your laundry, collecting up those fibers so they can be disposed of in a better way. It may not catch all of them, but something is better than none. It is a reusable ball that is safe for all manner of washers. Currently it is being crowdsourced but you can preorder yours for $20.
