Nixie tubes went out of fashion for a variety of very good reasons. Two are probably at the top of that list. One, they break easily and two, they’re prone to general failures. Still they look awesome which is why we are in love with the Nixie Chessboard.

This chessboard comes fully assembled for all your glowing, vintage gameplay needs. The entire thing is powered through the board so all you need to do is plug it in and you’re ready to play. The pieces are round IN-7 nixes, fitted in brass. The symbols are chosen from whatever they could find that had enough of one type for everything they need.
