Instaread – save time and read the notes for popular books

Everyone agrees that reading is good for our brain meat but the problem is that books are really long. Even with audiobooks, you’re still looking at a few hours of time invested to make it happen. If you want to know what happens in a book but can’t commit to reading it, check out Instaread, the app that gives you the highlights.

This app summarizes books so you have all the key information without having to sacrifice hours to read the whole thing. The app gives you all the important parts and overreaching themes without any fluff, or, as some would call it, the actual book.

Overviews are available in both audio and text formats. There are a number of titles on the service in a variety of genres. Currently this is iPhone only but it does seem that they are developing an Android version. There is a monthly subscription fee of $4.99.

Donyae’s love for technology is based on a need to survive our future robotic overlords. Know thy enemy as you know yourself. But since even odds are on the zombie future, she has also learned how to prepare squirrel. You can find her on Facebook until the robots – or zombies – rise up.
