Flash Plugin – Adobe is finally ending support

Flash used to be pretty ubiquitous online. All types of media ran on the software but not for much longer. Adobe has announced that it will no longer support the browser plug-in. Don’t worry though, you’ve got until 2020 before this change fully takes place.

Most people interact with flash via games and movies on many website but you may have noticed less and less of them. Primarily due to the fact that many people access online content through mobile devices and neither iOS nor Android support it. So really, this announcement was a long time coming.

This long delay gives developers who have games and other media that still use the plugin, like Farmville, time to migrate to a new system. So don’t worry, you won’t lose your crops or whatever it is you get on that game. In any case, it’s the end of an era, the Flash era. Plan accordingly.
