Dihydrogen Monoxide Containment Water Bottle – are you sure that’s safe to drink?

Stainless steel water bottles are really handy for staying hydrated when you’re on the go. Get one that lets everyone know what’s inside with the cheeky Dihydrogen Monoxide Containment Water Bottle and feel slightly superior to everyone that doesn’t get the joke.

So dihydrogen monoxide is water. It sounds really scary when you say it like that though doesn’t it? This plain white water bottle looks like something that contains dangerous chemicals but it isn’t! Well, I guess if you drink too much it IS dangerous.

In any case, the bottle is a reference to the scare tactic of using chemical or scientific names to explain things in an effort to make them sound dangerous or important. And although water is important if this was just marked “water” no one would look twice at it. Aside from that, it’s a wide mouthed bottle made from food grade stainless steel. It holds up to one liter and can fit in most cup holders. You can get your own for $14.95.
