The trucks are similar to the vehicle in NBC’s short-lived series “The Highwayman”. I don’t believe the top portions of the Colanis transform into hellicopters, however.
Holy crap – I remember seeing this on Colani’s website a few years back, or at least his concept drawings of them. I had no idea they’d actually been built.

Damn. I was going to make reference to The Highwayman too.
Judging by the size of them thar windscreen wipers, they could transform into just about any flying machine if they chose to. :-)
