BB-8 Planet Boy – The $20 FAKE Sphero BB-8 Star Wars Robot! [REVIEW]

As far as Star Wars robots go, BB-8 is the standout star. This cute little bot took the world by storm when he made his first appearance on The Force Awakens. Everyone wanted one but not everyone was keen to spend over $100 for one. Good news for people looking for their own little bot, this model, Planet Boy, works well and is quite inexpensive.

This is definitely a toy. It’s not exactly amazing but it is fun. The little guy can dance and more around. Plus it comes preloaded with a bunch of sounds. A very fun addition for any Star Wars fan, young or old.

This does come with some downsides however, it takes six batters and is hard to open. It’s also not fast like the real BB-8, it’s quite slow to be honest. If you swing it too much, the head, held on by a magnet will fall off and you can’t turn while driving forward. Still, you can’t beat the price. For $20 this can be yours. Check out the video for the full review.
