L16 – this camera is the size of a smartphone but says it can challenge a DSLR

When it comes to cameras, our smartphones are pretty good for many picture taking purposes but nothing beats a full DSLR, according to some people who really like cameras. Cameras are large and smartphones are small, why not combine the two with the L16, the super compact multi lens camera.

This is a camera with many lenses but it’s the size of a smartphone. The functionality of a full camera but the portability of a camera phone (remember when that was an actual special THING? My how technology has grown!) It’s also got 256 GB of onboard storage so you can capture a ton of photos.

The thing that should be noted here that this camera does not use lenses as your traditional camera does. Instead, it uses all lenses as once to capture multiple pictures with multiple exposures which it then compiles into one image. It’s pretty neat, but it feels like a very different device than a traditional camera. It’s due out in early 2018 which is good because you might need to save some coins for it. It’s $1,950.
