BBC Sound Effects – add a bit of pop to your next sound based project

Do you like sounds? As in using them in your projects that involve some sort of recording and playback? Well good news, BBC has released 16,000 sound effects for free download. There are some stipulations but that’s a huge library! Check out BBC Sound Effects Library for some cool stuff for your ears!

The library includes all types of sounds. Some that are common and will help set the mood of whatever you’re working, others that are more obscure and well, weird. There are literally thousands of sounds available to download so take your time and explore.

Of course this comes with some restrictions. The usage for these sounds falls under a RemArc license which means you can only use the sounds for personal, education, or research. You cannot use them for “for-profit” ventures so no sampling for you newest mixtape, sorry. You can check out the sounds at the website. It is in beta and some connectivity issues may occur.
