Foxie. Turn your Internet Explorer browser into a Firefox clone.
What’s utterly delicious about this little doozie, is not just the fact that it’s so clearly an attempt to put a mink coat on a pig and call it Marilyn Monroe, but that it completely fails to understand the really massive benefit of Firefox – i.e. the absolutely humongous number of add-on tools and utilities that are so much more than a bit of tabbed browsing and pop up blocking. Pfaff. Still, if you’re still wedded to the pile of trash called IE and want to sample a little of the smell of a real browser platform, try it out, why doncha?
Now you can surf the web with ease and comfort. Foxie (fox + ie; pronounced /Foxy/) is a collection of free security, privacy and productivity tools developed by the Foxie Team. It was originally designed to bridge the gap between Internet Explorer and Mozilla FireFox…but soon grew in scope and size to offer additional unique features not found on any stand alone browser.
Foxie has had a reputation of being a virus (just to warn wary users)… don't know of it's status now.
