Xbox Adaptive Controller – this controller wants everyone to game

Gaming has not always been very accessible. Aside from colors and screen issues, there’s just the controller itself. You need two hands and really nimble fingers which isn’t something that everyone has meaning that some people have been locked out of gaming. The Xbox Adaptive Controller is one possible solution to this issue.

This isn’t just one single controller. It’s a controller system that lets you add any sort of modifications that the individual gamer needs in order play the game. Large pads, buttons, foot pedals, whatever it takes beat the level. Gamers can use their hands, feet, faces, elbows, whatever they need so that everyone can play.

This is really amazing especially after literal years of discussion about the inaccessibility of games for people who have limited mobility for whatever reasons. The control isn’t out yet but hopefully it lives up to the hype because gaming should be for everyone. Check out the video below to see it in action.
