It’s summer, so it can be pretty hot outside. Personally, I sleep in the attic and it’s always smoking hot in my room. I don’t have any built in airco, so that’s a pretty big bummer. However, there are some solutions, like the Arctic Air, a mini airco, but is it actually something that works?

PROS
- It blows nice cold air
- It cools the space down pretty fast
- Not expensive
- You can change speed and LED lights
CONS
- It won’t cool down a very big room
- It’s not that versatile
VERDICT
The Arctic Air does the job for small rooms or spaces. If you spend a lot of time at your desk when it’s hot, this is going to be perfect. However, the Arctic Air won’t cool your room completely down. It’s also not intended to do that. It’s mainly for small spaces and it’s a pretty cool gadget. You fill it with water, you have three fan speeds and there are built in LED lights for some cool effects. In my testing I almost completely filled the reservoir and the water went down very fast, however at a certain level it stayed in place, so it’s using a lot of the water to moisten the filter. The Arctic Air does certainly blow cold air (unlike a fan) and it cools the space down very fast. For that price (40£ right now) it’s a no-brainer during the summer! You can find the Arctic Air here.
