Driving Detective – keep your eyes on the road, not your phone

You shouldn’t be attempting to use your phone and drive. Checking notifications while on the road and in motion can lead to accidents. Don’t do it. If you find yourself struggling to not do this thing though, there’s an app for that! Driving Detective will put you in do not disturb mode so you can reach your destination without picking up your phone.

The app automatically senses when you’re driving and puts the phone on DND so that you don’t get any notifications that may pull your attention away from the road. This includes things like push messages from apps or emails. You should still be able to take calls however. Just do so on speaker.

The app restores the phone to normal when you walk away from the car or your remain parked for more than 15 minutes. A useful tool for breaking the habit of checking notifications when you’re behind the wheel. You can download it from the Play store.
