R-Pur – the filter mask of the future

Air pollution is a problem. Like a deadly problem but that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t go outside. If you’re going to be out in the world where you’re exposed to air that is a bit less than fresh, check out the space agey R-Pur mask, the high tech filter mask for urban travel.

This mask was designed to be worn with motorcycle helmets but can also be worn while biking and walking. They fit snugly to the face and filter out most pollutants caused by exhaust that urban dwellers can find themselves trapped in clouds of.

It connects to an app that tracks usage and even lets you know when your filter needs to be replaced. There are lights on the front that can act as a visual on the air quality as well. Currently they are available in Europe for €149 and will be available in the US later this year.
