Nuclear Power – are we overlooking this clean energy source?

With the talk of alternative energy sources being all the rage since we don’t want our plant to you know, die, one option has started to come back up in discussions. Nuclear power. The energy source never went away, is still in use around the world but should we be looking towards it more?

This energy source doesn’t create much in the way of carbon emissions so yay to that. What it does produce though is nuclear waste which also needs to be dealt with and is a major downside to this technology.

The threat of meltdown isn’t as strong, those events are rare but when they happen, oh boy, are they a problem. Ultimately, although nuclear power is “cleaner” in one way, there are still plenty of issues around it.
