Bye Bye Camera – remove people from your photos

Every take a photo and think, “This would be great if it wasn’t for the person in it”? Well if that’s you, then good news, there’s an app for that. The Bye Bye Camera removes humans from the pictures you take so you can capture a world were people aren’t.

This is an iPhone only app, which we usually don’t cover, but this concept is strange! The app uses You Only Look Once, which is an object classifier to locate humans in the photo and then does a content aware like fill to erase them.

This would be great for capturing landmarks and nature images that are usually quite crowded. According to reviews the results aren’t always perfect and you can’t upload your own photos yet. If the developer perfects this, it might be worth a few minutes of play. It’s $3 in the app store.
