Save Coral Reefs – by protecting their habitats

Protecting the coral reefs is important and just for vacation reasons. Sure tropical reefs full of fish are great to look at but all reefs have merit. In order to protect them the best thing to do is protect their habitats.

Coral reefs provide homes for a wide variety of wild life as well as food and work for millions of people around the world. Protecting them is part of a larger conversation around protecting our coastlines, which are in danger from from rising sea levels.

Corals have been a focus of conservation efforts for some time as they were an early area where the effects of pollution and global warming could be seen. This doesn’t mean that all hope is lost though, helping to preserve these areas will help save these habitats for the future.
