Blogbridge

Blogbridge. Open Source blog and feeds organizer, designed for compulsive info junkies. Probably overkill if you only follow two sites a week. But still definitely worth a look, if only for the funky, non Open Source interface.

BlogBridge is a blog, feed and RSS aggregator for “info-junkies.” While there are other aggregators out there, BlogBridge is designed for people who are required to follow lots of feeds, not 10 or 20, but 200 or 400. You can’t read that much, so BlogBridge gives you lots of ways to organize, sort through, skim and discover what’s important to you in this avalanche of information.

  • Hey, it’s cool that you specifically mention our interface as being interesting. What do you think of the way we implemented the “activity indicators” – those little histograms next to each feed. It’s a quick way to see how many posts there have been recently. Also btw, you are exactly right – people that follow one or 2 (or even 5-10) feeds should just use firefox or safari. It’s a perfectly good way to go. Anyway, thanks for the noticing us. Any feedback, suggestions or complaints, please let us know – we try to be very responsive!

  • Cheers for the feedback too Pito, nice to hear from developers. My problem, and I suspect others, is that I’m running out of time and hands in terms of using yet another tool. We’ve got RSS readers, browser extensions, online services, mobile services…..phew! So at the moment I’m settled on a fully loaded (and I mean fully) Firefox, with Sage RSS, Netvibes and a very small set of bookmarks. Don’t know if I can fit another tool into the bag without it breaking (which is what I suspect is happening with Flock). It’s difficult times. :-)

  • Sure thing. I know what you mean. At some time something we have in BB will be sufficiently cool that it will put you over the edge and adopt it. We do innovate pretty quickly, so that’s our challenge! Great site btw.

  • Thanks very much Pito, and I certainly look forward to being bowled over by your innovation. :-) At the moment I’m just loving Netvibes, I have to say.
