Is anyone familiar with these gun safes? I happen to be and imagine my surprise when I saw one of them in a recent new release starring Bruce Willis (The movie is Hostage). I saw the movie, too, and although the family under siege in the story do keep an automatic in this gun vault, it does not stop the kid from getting the gun. He somehow has learned the code. My point is; kids will find a way. Better not to have guns around the house, or use a safe with an old style key.
A better system would be an RFID tag in a ring (e.g., fake wedding band) worn by the safe’s owner, with an RFID scanner in the safe and connected to the lock.
I actually like the fact that the Deluxe version has an ‘interior courtesy light’. How thoughtful. :-)
