actually, there’s a nice niche demand for these kind of products for the vision impaired. telephones with large oversized buttons and over-amped speakers, definitely a market out there, i get requests for one or the other somewhat regularly. at least in the US, businesses can get subsidized labor costs by enabling vision or hearing impaired workers to perform jobs they may otherwise not be able to perform (think it’s state specific, this is off the top of my head).
