The Fuzzy Logic Rice Cooker. Look, I’m sorry an’ all, but I really do object when my kitchen utensils are smarter than I am. Heck, a frying pan is probably smarter than me, but this is taking it too far. A rice cooker that fine tunes the boil according to circumstances? This will not end well, you mark my words…$189.95.
A microchip allows the cooker to monitor the cooking process and fine-tune adjustments to temperature and heating time depending on the amount of rice to be prepared, and the cooker has settings for white rice, sushi rice, brown rice, porridge, sweet, semi-brown, brown, rinse-free, and quick cooking, adjusting to different types of rice to simplify cooking and eliminate guesswork normally required to accurately prepare different grain varieties. Once cooking is complete, the cooker automatically switches over to a warming mode to maintain consistent temperature inside without burning the rice
I’ve never understood the need for rice cookers.
1 cup of basmati rice + 1 cup of water (all in a pyrex dish with lid on) + 10 minutes at medium in a microwave = great rice.
Does seem rather simple doesn’t it, Matt? And not an ounce of fuzzy logic in sight. :-)
Come on…
Fuzzy logic rice cooker has been in the market for over 10 years !
And for many Japs washing machines, they have fuzzy logic equipped, ie. to control the amount of water, spinning speed, etc.
Are u guys living in Mars???
