I have been slowly coming round to the idea that I should protect my vulnerable Outlook Express mail package from the nasty people out there who seem to want to damage it (and me!) by investing in some sort of guard. I toyed briefly with changing altogether to Pegasus, or The Bat or Eudora, (not bad!) but after having played with each of them, came to the conclusion that none offered everything that OE did.

So I was really glad to stumble across this little puppy the other day. [email protected] promises to protect me against any kind of savage inbox attack, including Kak and BadTrans type viruses and those that activate via Web page invasion. I’ve installed it now and it seems to be working – caught something today for instance and quarantined it immediately. The really cool thing is that it works alongside existing firewalls and anti virus programs. I’ll let you know how I get on.
