Whenever possible we keep the crumb trays attached to the bottom of the toaster. Some crumb trays are attached to the toaster’s internal parts rather than the toaster’s chassis. In these cases the crumb trays cannot be reattached and the bottom of the toaster is left open allowing for a more ambient sound. Although they all sound warm and toasty, each model has its own unique sonic qualities.
