One fairly easy way of opening any blister pack is to crush it, not tear it. For example, if you have a toothbrush in a blister pack, place it in the middle of your palm and squeeze the whole pack firmly, like you’re trying to crush a beer can. This will usually cause the cardboard to tear away from the plastic blister, and you can easily extract the item.
It won’t work for everything, but give it a try.
