The good folk at Grisoft have released the AVG Anti-Rootkit product which will locate and remove rootkit malware from your computer. You know, code which is used to hide things like trojans and keyloggers etc. It’s too early to say how effective it is against the most stubborn versions out there, but it’s definitely worth keeping in mind just in case you ever have a need.

Marco, there are some rootkits that no antirootkit software can find. Same with other types of malware. Not sure what your point is, but anyhow, their product was built with Ewido technology (ewido.net), which is one tool I’ve been using since it came out. It covers a good range of malware, definitely add this to your arsenal of PC protection.
