MindMeister – brilliant mind mapper for the web

MindMeister is a superb free online mind/project mapping cum outliner service. If you’ve every used an outliner, you’ll know how fab they are for bashing down ideas whilst putting them in some sort of logical order. This service puts all that power onto the web, and more. The interface is excellent, clear and easy to use, and the feature set is also top notch. You can get a project map up and running literally in seconds, and the collaborative feature means that a bunch of people can add to it simultaneously in real time, which is awesome. Brilliant!

Often, it is useful to speak to other brainstormers during a joint mind mapping session. For this purpose, MindMeister has a Skype integration. in the footer and start a Skype conference call. Clicking on one of the collaborators names in the footer will open a context menu that allows you to start Skype calls and chats with individual users, or initiate a conference call with all currently online collaborators. Please note that the Skype options will only be available if the respective user has supplied a Skype name on their profile.
