PodXtreme – loud sound, small body

Podxtreme

The PodXtreme Sound Box for iPod is an add-on speaker that is supposed to generate a ‘powerful sound’ and ‘powerful bass boost’ out of your music player. The unit comes with an integrated rechargeable Lithium Ion battery juiced from a USB port or wall socket. So here’s the question. How much loud do you think $29.95 will buy really?

The secrect resonation provides the podXtreme with such a powerful bass boost that you’re going to need to pimp out your iPod or MP3 player. Operating the same way as a quality subwoofer, the secret resonator helps to elongate your sound through the expanded tunnel, creating a deeper bass and richer sound. Who knew that such rich sound could be produced from such a tiny device? The podXtreme is your gateway to rich, powerful, party casing sound.

  • Nothing like taking the quality of sound down even further.

…and I can’t wait until some lawyer sues the pants off these bass-booster companies for all the heart arrythmia patients that will start suing them in a few years…..

  • I give any company credit for being able to produce any sort of listenable amplified sound from a cardboard model of an I-pod!

  • So, its a monophonic powered speaker then? You can’t beat the great sound of mono.
I loved this quote from the website: “When you pull the podXtreme out for the first time, people might even chuckle. But when they stumble back from the powerful sound this mighty speaker projects, you might just find yourself smiling at their amazement.” That good, eh?

  • Wot Zed, you’ve never ‘stumbled back’ from a product box opening? Tsk. :-)
