iBall GPRS SMS Globe – cool text message viewer

Iballsmsglobe

The iBall GPRS SMS Globe. Send text messages from any mobile phone to this globe and it will display them on the 360 viewable screen. The unit contains a SIM card and 64 MB of memory for storing messages and uses 85 ‘super bright’ LED bulbs to do the display stuff. This is actually a pretty cool product application if you need to distribute information to a room quickly from lots of roaming agents with mobile phones. I’m thinking things like newsrooms, financial information centres and suchlike. Or even nightclub information services (‘Jenny, are you here?’). Very interesting.  $2,225.19 (£1,182.71) ex VAT (including 1000 texts).

The GPRS iBall has its own mobile phone SIM card. It connects to the cellular networks. To send a message to the GPRS iBall, simply send an SMS text message to the number you will be supplied. After a minute or two your message will be seen on the GPRS iBall. Requires a GPRS enabled SIM card (not supplied).
