Embiggen is a clever bit of technology that lets you expand those tinyURLs that are dotted around the place to make sure they’re not leading to somewhere dangerous. There’s a publisher version for website owners, but the interesting bit for most people will be the browser bookmarklet which you can use to check URLs yourself.
TinyURL is a great service, but who knows what’s lurking on the other side of those links?
