Alarmd – cool Internet alarm clock rocks the wake-up with YouTube

Alarmd

Alarmd is a pretty cool online alarm clock that comes with a bevy of nice options like multiple recurring alarms, specific day settings and large friendly coloured numerals which are readable across the room. But the best feature is definitely the fact that it can wake you up with either a YouTube video, Last.FM stream or online MP3 track. Very cool.

Did you take your contacts out last night and you can’t see the time on your alarm clock from all the way across the room? I’m here to calm your fears. Enter ALARMD, the Internet Alarm Clock. Wake up to any Youtube video (that allows embedding), a last.fm user stream or tag, or any mp3 hosted online. There are a few defaults in there, but you can add and modify your own.

I think it’s a ripoff of this site with more options added:

Hmm… PC as an alarm clock, very eco-friendly!

  3. Mike says:

I’m with Steve on this one – that was my first thought too.

  4. Red says:

Hmm…point taken. Although I do wonder how much more power a notebook PC takes, for example, compared with an alarm clock radio?

    It doesn’t work…

  6. Red says:

    Works fine for me…

I’m with George – I set it to play music and it just doesn’t work for me.
