Climb@Tron R.E.X – window climbing robot never gets dizzy

Climb@tronrex

Climb@Tron R.E.X. We’re talking suckers on feet, ‘powerful’ vacuum suction system and a flagrant disregard for any risk to body and plastic. Enjoy the fun until the batteries run out mid climb, children. $9.95.

The original window-climbing robot, Climb@Tron REX (Robot EXplorer) scoffs at the forces of gravity, using suction cups built into its feet to climb up, down, around, even upside down smooth surfaces like windows, mirrors, and metal file cabinets! These climbers defy gravity and provide hours of imaginative play!

  1. Brian P. Mucha says:

This is not a new product, my kid got one a year ago. It really doesn’t work well at all, not even on a glass window.

    Booo.

  2. DTM says:

Yeah, that photo isn’t really convincing. Looks like the old sideways camera trick.

  3. Red says:

You know what DTM, I thought exactly the same thing. :-) Brian, it figures…

  4. Yes I agree with Brian, I bought one of these maybe 10 years ago myself. It works a bit, but usually falls off before making it to the top. Might work in a NASA cleanroom.

  5. Sam says:

I bought this exact toy about 5 or 6 years ago. I still have it, and it does work, if you put it on the climbing surface correctly.
