FreeCharge Weza Portable Energy Source – the ultimate pedal power

Freeplayweza

Freeplay’s FreeCharge Weza Portable Energy Source relies on good old foot power to produce the voltages. You can generate between 25 and 40 watts by stepping on the treadle affair smartly and with a sense of purpose. Rather worryingly the blurb doesn’t state how much stepping you need to get an hour’s worth of juice, but let’s pretend it’s not much for the sake of the children and our elderly knees. £209.96.

The generic cigarette lighter socket allows you to charge all of your personal electronic devices (cell phone, PDA, iPod, GPS etc.) with a single base charger. # As a portable energy pack, charge it up in your SUV or camper during the day, and at night use the fully charged Weza as an ideal portable power source – for lighting and other applications around the camp sight. # An ideal backup power supply, ensuring that you’ll always be able to make that emergency call, get a GPS location fix, or start a vehicle stuck with a dead battery.
