Booksnap – the manual book ripper lets you create your own e-book library

Booksnap

Booksnap is a book ripper, not a scanner, OK? You place the book in the v shaped holder, and use a brace of digital cameras to snap photos of the two pages. The software then does all the clean-up and conversion to PDF for you automatically. The samples look OK, but it’s going to take patience to keep flicking the pages, although they say 500 pages an hour. Yours for a mere $1595.00. [via Gizmodo]

BookSnap digitizes books at the speed of 2 digital cameras, making the scanning process much faster than other scanners. You no longer have to waste hours and days just to scan a single book. Finish entire stacks quickly with BookSnap. See comparison of BookSnap vs. Flatbed scanner.
