The Home Guard is an all in one motion sensing security camera and DVR recorder which boasts a no-installation set up and full quality video results. The unit comes with a choice of on-board memory capacities and runs off AC or four AA batteries. Stick it in a cookie tin (punch out a hole for the micro lens first though, OK?) and put it in the bedroom to catch your errant nanny stealing food. Er…or something. Anyhoo, it’s $239.00 for the 512MB system and $349.00 for the 4 GB model which will give you over 130 hours of recording time (batteries last for 6 to 8 hours, note!)
Unlike other small cameras the H.G. requires NO wires, No radio frequency receivers and No separate recording devices. Activated by motion the H.G. records in crystal clear color to its own built in DVR. With very little effort we have hidden the H.G in all these common items. All that is necessary to accomplish this is some 3M Scotch double sided tape or Velcro and a tiny hole no bigger than this – o to allow the 3.7mm cone lens to capture the surveillance area. The unit can easily be removed for downloading the movies and replaced back into its hiding place. With very little ingenuity the H.G. can be hidden in objects that are common place in every room of your house or office surroundings.
