BitLet is a neat online tool for downloading BitTorrent files. It’s great for those who don’t want the hassle of installing a BitTorrent client, instead you just copy and paste the torrent url into the box and the download gets done there and then (assuming there are enough seeds etc).
It works really well – try downloading the Steal This Film file from the front page as a test – and also comes with a cool webmaster version which site owners can use to embed easily downloadable files on their site or blog. Useful indeed (for example WordPress users should be able to combine it with this Javascript plugin to embed torrent file downloads in their posts).
To download the torrent file you choose, right click on the download torrent link, copy the link location (e.g. http://www.example.org/file.torrent) and then paste it in the input box at http//www.bitlet.org/. Then you have only to click on “Download torrent” button and that’s it!
