The Cerevellum is a bicycle computer which combines GPS, heart rate monitor and a digital video rear view mirror in one compact unit. It’s still at design stage, but the specs are neat. It’s upgradeable via add-on modules and the designers are aiming to sell it at around $299.00 if/when it reaches production. Nice idea (not so sure about the name though). [Via Crave]
Yes, the name is a bit of a mouthful isn’t it? I was thinking it could also come with a dock for an mp3 player (like all the audio products for runners) but I suppose listening to headphones is probably more dangerous for cyclists than runners.
We talked about this at our bike club ride this morning. One member had seen it while viewing Paris-Roubaix ride updates. We all think it's a great idea. I own a local bike shop and would love to carry this item when it's available. If you care to contact me regarding this, please don't hesitate to do so.
